How to use this library

Two kinds of drills live here. The staples are tried and true: Pepper, Pickle, Around the Horn, Infield-Outfield, Cutoffs and Relays, 21 Outs, Wall Ball, tee work, long toss, PFP, First-and-Third situations. Coaches have run them for generations because they put a lot of good reps into a small amount of time. Start there.

Everything else is inspiration. The principles behind them are evidence-based: game-like reps, variability, decisions under pressure, an external focus. The specific games are applications of those principles, not lab-tested protocols. Steal them, remix them, invent your own. If a drill makes kids read, decide, and move, it is doing its job. There are a million ways to have fun and learn. Read the principles →
